JM Heavy Equipment Technician


On-Track Railway Operations is a railroad material handling company that operates coast to coast and has been serving the industry for over 35 years. Our main facility sits on 160 acres of land located ten minutes north-east from the city of Edmonton in Sturgeon County.

We are looking for Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians to expand our team.

This position will be a mix of shop and field with a service truck covering the provinces of BC, AB, SK and MB with a shift of 10 days on and 4 days off. When not in the field the shift will be Monday-Friday; 8 hours a day in the shop.

The ideal person will have:

Experience in the field repairing On-Road and Off-Road heavy equipment. This included, but is not limited to: rail car movers, excavators, high rail boom trucks, backhoes, specialized attachments and pickup trucks.
Must have solid knowledge in electrical and hydraulic systems. Experience with diesel engines is an asset.
Flexibility between field and shop positions and the ability to do overtime as needed.
A commercial vehicle inspection certificate is required.
