Field Services Technician for Managed IT Services

We are looking to add a Field Service Technician to our team that shares this passion for IT, and a passion for delivering an amazing client experience onsite in person. Our Field Service Technicians will work closely with other members of our Support and Project teams to see requests through to completion and give and receive mentorship when opportunities arise. Field Service Technicians will split their time between the MNP office and our clients locations. Performance ExpectationsAct as the public face of MNP, demonstrating and delivering our company core values in personFocus on delivering an amazing client experience, and superior customer serviceResolution of client requests that require an onsite presence at client office locations, IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change)Creating and updating Client documentationIdentifying sales opportunities and engaging our team to follow throughParticipating in or leading projectsInstallation and maintenance of infrastructure as directedPrompt and accurate submission of timesheets CredentialsMinimum of 5 years professional IT experienceA relevant technical post-secondary degree or diplomaExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA proven track record of outstanding customer serviceAbility to stay calm in tense situations while projecting a positive, confident outlookAchieve and maintain an MCSA: Windows Server level certificationIntermediate knowledge of Windows, Windows Server, Office SuiteBasic knowledge of database services including Microsoft SQLIntermediate knowledge of email services including Microsoft Exchange and Office 365Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory, GPO’s, NTFS and share permissionsIntermediate knowledge of networking including DNS, DHCP, WINS, Routing, VPN’s, common ISP services, UTMBasic knowledge of 3rd party applications utilized by assigned clientsBasic knowledge of backup software and strategiesBasic knowledge of file and email recovery techniquesFamiliarity with desktop hardware, installation and diagnosing basic issuesFamiliarity with network, server and storage hardware, racking and installationBasic knowledge of VMware and virtualizationAn availability for overtime on evenings and weekendsA commitment to continual professional developmentAn independent, self-managing work ethic with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlinesStrong time management and troubleshooting skillsAn understanding of the importance of detailed time and expense trackingMust possess a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and appropriate business-class insurance Company Description:MyRewards@MNPMore than a paycheque, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards for our team members.
