KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Execution of work assigned in a safe manner, with the required quality, on schedule and with approved budgetsKnowledge and application of all safety standards and procedures at all times and ensuring that everyone on the work sites applies them as wellProviding input, through the review process, to engineering on the constructability of designs and construction methods.On large projects, he or she may lead a Constructability Team to ensure constructability requirements are followed up and implemented.Providing input to the Project Manager on cost estimates and trends before approvalManaging and stewarding to construction budget in conjunction with the Project TeamReviewing the construction execution plans (CEP) from contractors and working with them to reach agreement on the plan details for Project Manager approvalSupporting the Project Manager with required risk assessments to meet the Area’s management of change (MOC) requirements and assisting with the production of safe work plans to enable approval to proceed with the work by the Area Owner.Initiating interface agreements with the operating departments and other projectsEnsuring proper protocols are adhered to regarding contractor time, schedule compliance and barrier removal.Supporting the development of all safe work plans and seeking approval from relevant committeesConducting regular safety tours, along with stake holders to continually monitor progress and safe workMaintaining a record of project documents or memos transmitted to contractorsMaintaining the construction diary with daily entriesObtaining approvals for all changes needed and maintaining a log of field change noticesManaging field construction problems, non-conformance issues (engaging contract support when required), schedule slippage and productivity lossesOther duties as required QUALIFICATIONS:Journeyman Ticket RequiredMinimum of 20 years of experienceLeadership experienceOSSA Regional Orientation or Common Safety Orientation.If this position is classified as safety risk sensitive, you must also be able to pass pre-access drug & alcohol testing.Successfully pass a criminal background check.Authorized to legally work in Canada (eligible to work in the country for the duration of the assignment) Required Safety training / equipment (if applicable)Mask Fit (Includes #M 1/2 Full)Fall ProtectionConfined and Restricted Space Entry (OSSA)Overhead CraneBasic RiggingAerial Work PlatformSCBA Mask Fit (Scott AV2000) (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus)Driving on Site Did we peak your interest yet?
