COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER II – OUTREACH
SKILLS is a progressive community-based agency which provides a range of supports to people with disabilities.
We are currently looking for a Community Support Worker II to join our Community Supports Outreach Team supporting individuals who live in the inner city.
This is 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. The position offers 49 hours a week Monday through Friday. Hours vary between 10am-6pm and 11am-7pm.
Successful applicants will have a combination of education and experience along with knowledge and background in community inclusion, person-centred planning and advocacy. Experience supporting individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Mental Health and Addictions is a must. Experience working in the inner city along with an ability to work independently and think on your feet would be definite assets.
A vehicle is required along with a clean Driver’s Abstract and adequate insurance. A clear, current (within 6 months of date of issue) Criminal Record Check is also required.
Starting wage range is $21.00 to $22.73 an hour and is commensurate with education and experience.
