Job Description:Description of Services Candidate is responsible for delivering business intelligence capabilities to support internal and external ministry stakeholders’ information needs.• Contribute as part of a team, responsible for delivering business intelligence capabilities to support internal and external ministry stakeholders’ information needs.• Deliver work products based on various sets of data, including those relevant to Ministry business areas.• Work with a selection of technology products that must scale to the ever-changing technology and increasing appetite for information from internal and external ministry stakeholders.• Must be able to work effectively with a team made up of in-house staff and contract resources.• Analyze data and prepare information results.• Gather and document client requirements.• Design and construct information products.• Capture business and technical metadata for information products.• Gather requirements for control processes, including schedule management, status-reporting, issues, risk, and change management at the program level.• Produce deliverables within specified quality standards and timeline.• Define and perform quality assurance on BI deliverables.• Respond to ad-hoc information inquiries.• Perform data analysis, data quality audits/reviews, statistical analysis and data mining.• Escalate issues and risks, as appropriate.• Work within a multi-vendor/staff environment. The work includes data and GIS analysis, descriptive and predictive analysis and ad-hoc requirements from business clients; other work involves sector on-going data analytics needs including Carrier Safety Information Dashboard(s), activities such as: statistics analysis, forecast modeling, BI modeling, data visualization and information product support.In addition to the description of services listed below, please note the following:DELIVERABLE DETAILS:General Responsibilities (any or all):- Lead or facilitate meetings and workshops with GOA departments, clients, stakeholders, and project teams. (Mostly GOA-internal; possibly external also.)- Lead or support identifying, gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from several business areas.- Perform or support data management, data acquisition, data preparation, data modeling, data planning, data manipulation, data cleansing, data wrangling, data joins, data import/export, data ingestion, ETL, ELT, data storage, data security, data policies, data de-identification/anonymization, data analysis, data analytics, data visualization, data science, data quality audits/reviews, statistical analysis, data mining, data/database administration.• Contribute as part of a diverse team (staff and contractors) to deliver business intelligence capabilities to support internal and external ministry stakeholders’ data and information needs. Also work independently at times.• Deliver work products based on various sets of data relevant to Ministry business areas.• Work with data/analytics/BI software tools (including but not necessarily limited to SAS Visual Analytics and MS Power BI) to design and create visualizations, dashboards, custom reports, and other information products.• Analyze data and prepare information results.• Capture and document business and technical metadata for information products.- Lead or support development of new, and/or updating of existing information technology service management (ITSM) processes and service models.• Lead or support identifying, gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements for control processes including schedule management, status reporting, issues, risk, and change management at the program level.- Develop and deliver training materials.- Provide analyst support for web portal projects, technology projects, and data projects, as required.• Produce deliverables within specified quality standards and timelines.• Define and perform quality assurance on BI deliverables and other deliverables.• Respond to ad-hoc information inquiries.• Identify and escalate issues and risks, as appropriate.Deliverables:- Specific deliverables and due dates will be determined by the client team in conjunction with project management.- Status reports – weekly and monthly.Company Description:Computer Consultants International, Inc.
