We are looking for a reliable live-in female roommates to live with and support a kind, gentle, caring women with a disability. You will live together in a lovely home in southeast Edmonton. Garage space included. Your primary responsibility will be grocery shopping, preparing meals, laundry, house cleaning, some yard work, and snow shovelling. Typical living activities. Caregiving experience and understanding disability would be assets for this position.
Direct support hours are 2-3 hours/day maximum. Indirect support hours, 6-8 hours/day includes evening and sleep time. Alternate weekends are required or as agreed by roommates. Monthly schedule is posted to a shared google calendar that includes family and other supportive staff. She has a busy daytime and occasional evening/weekend schedule of her own. You will be able to work or attend school during the daytime and have three-four evenings/week to yourself plus every other weekend. Pay for this position is provided through free living expenses (rent and utilities). In essence, it is free living in exchange for your part-time supports.
