Job Description:As a full-time graphic designer at rozendal Construction Inc, you will concentrate on environmental graphic design on projects for commercial buildings, campus buildings, parks, and green spaces across the world. You will collaborate with teams that include architects, planners, economists, biologists, engineers, and designers of all stripes. You will interface with clients and senior staff to find elegant expressions for difficult ideas. You will think in bold strokes but can remain a total geek about the precise geometry of a letterform. Above all, you will be inspired by our companies culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and genuine partnership.Key Responsibilities:Design and production of environmental graphics, way finding, and interpretive signage. Review and advise on technical shop drawings and proofs from fabricators. Develop brand identity and brand standards. Reading and understanding architectural plans, elevations, and models and developing wayfinding and graphics to scale Prototype design ideas through sketches and physical mock-ups. Artfully assemble work and designs into formal templates and present work formally to colleagues and clients. Collaborate with marketing staff and firm leadership on projects as required. Secondary Responsibilities:Design print materials, including reports, and guidelines, collateral materials, identity packages, etc. Collaborate with the graphics staff on Place-branding initiatives, including developing brand books, presentations, and recommendations. Preferred skills and experience:Willingness to learn and adapt Sense of humor Comprehension of architectural scales, sections, plans, elevations, and details Comprehension of way-finding principles Ability to detail designs in construction documents Technical writing Experience in branding and developing visual identities Familiarity with SketchUp and/or Rhino Comprehension of digital publishing platforms Dimensional design Understanding of print and digital production methods Experience managing project budgets and timelinesRemote opportunity:This position can be done remotely as long as the team member has access to a fast, reliable internet connection and a dependable cell phone connection.
