We are a semi-competitive club in Calgary, AB that is looking for an enthusiastic, driven, fun loving and committed coach to instruct, lead and encourage our swimmers to their fullest potential!
Responsibilities:
– plan and implement training sessions
– teach proper swim techniques and prepare swimmers for competitions
– assist with planning and attending competition events
– create a fun and positive team environment
Requirements:
– Experience working with children in a coaching capacity
– National Lifeguard Society certification (NLS), CPR-C (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification, and First Aid training
– Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the willingness to take initiative
– Completion of a criminal background check prior to commencing
– Certified in the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) is an asset but not required
