The company is a family business that has been operating for over 40 years General Description of Position :Responsible for receiving, storing, issuing and delivering of equipment, tools, and supplies, maintaining inventory control, and doing the required record-keeping. Prepare Shipments as required. Description of Job Responsibilities :- Shipping and Receiving area / Sales- Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, and code numbers with information on invoice or packing slip and purchase orders: record any discrepancies or damage. Open crates and other containers using hand tools to unpack items received. Inspect shipments for damage and defects.- Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment including forklift, pallet jack and handcart.- Sort and store items according to established procedures.- Verify documentation and certification of aeronautical parts regulatory requirements- Maintain computerized inventory records, take physical count periodically and check against inventory control totals using computer.- Requisition additional supplies from purchasing department as needed.- Maintain custody receipts for items being repaired and loaned out temporarily.- Read and fill requisitions for stock items. Verify accuracy of orders pulled.- Drive company truck to various locations to deliver materials. Obtain authorized signature for supplies requested.- Load and unload delivery truck by hand or by use of forklift.- Prepare shipments going out and ensure properly packaged to not damage parts. Other Duties as AssignedOther duties could include working in other areas of the department to provide support during absences or shortage of staff in other areas of the organization Technical knowledge, Skills and Experience:- Computer experience- Strong communication skills- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook , Word & Excel- Able to work in a busy environment & meet deadlines- Possess excellent organization & keen attention to detail- Work in a team Environment.- Written skills for documentation and letter writing.- Work Forklift, ladder, dolly, pallet jack, hand truck- Valid and unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s License- High School Diploma- Experience with deliveries and inventory control procedures- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.- Previous dangerous goods training/experience preferred- Experience with Inventory Software (Quantum Control software package preferred)- Knowledge of aviation parts certification/traceability an asset – Ability to obtain airside security clearance if required Compensation dependent on Experience Please provide Resume and Cover letter along with salary expectations by responding to this posting.
