Solution Architect – Software Implementation


Looking for a senior Solution Architect on multiple projects from planning through to implementation. This is contract for 10-month contract in Calgary. Ideally, the person for this role will be comfortable with a variety of hours from part-time through to full time depending on the project needs.

The company looks for versatile Solution Architects who have strong stakeholder management skills.

You will be working on multiple projects.   You will managing stakeholders, vendor relationships and be the liaison for IT.  They will look to you to bring a collaborative style and the ability to leverage learning between projects.

What you will be responsible for:

-Liaise with clients and business representatives to understand the needs of the business
-Design solution architecture for businesses
-Capture the solution architecture in a variety of artifacts
-Create proposals and estimates for potential solutions
-Review vendor proposals to ensure quality and cost requirements are met
-Identify and mitigate existing business risk or risks associated with solution architecture
-Translation of functional and non-functional requirements into a solution architecture
-Provide architectural guidance to the project teams

Skills the role requires:
– Expert knowledge of the architecture discipline
– Experience with process modeling tools and best practices
– Knowledgable about Project management tools and best practices
– Strong data modelling
– Proven Systems analysis and design
