Our Team Is Virtually Interviewing For:
As a Jr./Sr. Sous Chef , you will be responsible for coordinating kitchen operations, from ordering and receiving the raw materials to preparation of the basic sauces and ingredients. The sous chef trains and develops their team. They are responsible for top quality food, productivity of cooks, recruiting and grooming their team.
As a Line Cook , judgment of quality and craftsmanship is key. There’s a lot of food and equipment to keep track of, and coordination with the other entrée stations is critical. We are looking for those who have 1+ years of experience in a similar role, and an eye for detail and accuracy.
As a Kitchen Helper, you will help with portioning and other important pre-work such as stocking the line.
As a Dishwasher… well, you guessed it. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and be the ultimate master of (what we call) the Recruit Area.
Working in the kitchen at JOEY Barlow means that you will acquire the knowledge, experience, and confidence needed to prepare for your Red Seal certification. In addition to our culinary apprenticeship program, we facilitate in-store culinary competitions, quick-fire challenges, and black-box challenges.
We cannot train ‘Coachability’ but it is essential to our philosophy. To be on our team, you must be open to feedback, a straight shooter and have a desire to improve and grow in your development.

Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
Oversee kitchen operations
Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
