We are looking for an experienced industrial sewer to work in a busy manufacturing plant in south East Calgary. You will be working with a commercial sewing machine with heavy duty fabrics to manufacture mattresses. The schedule is for an afternoon shift, 2:30 pm to 10:40 pm, Monday to Friday, and needs to be available every Saturday shift.

Experience that you will need:
•You have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, operating an industrial sewing machine with heavy duty fabrics
•You have a vehicle to travel to work (due to the shift time and location in south east Calgary this position is not transit accessible)
•You are able to lift 50lbs regularly
•You are able to work at a fast pace, consistently
•You are comfortable standing or sitting for up to 8 hours
•You have good communication skills
•You can provide references from two previous supervisors
What you will be doing:
•Operating a commercial sewing machine
•Working with heavy duty fabrics and thread
•Quality checking items that you have produced
•Assisting with other warehouse duties if required – for example assembly line packing
