Accounting Administrator Reporting to Legacy Fire Protection’s Controller, this position will be responsible for general accounting, collections and administrative support to the Legacy team including, but not limited to, the following tasks: Roles and Responsibilities AR Activities · Working closely with construction or service team to prepare, post and distribute project and inspection billings and associated documentation · Processing customer payments and bank deposits · Collections and customer maintenance · Correcting billing issues and working with operational teams to address customer concerns AP Activities · Reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips; coding and posting into accounting system, reconciling discrepancies · Issuing vendor cheques and payments · Expense and credit card reporting and reconciliation Other activities · Corresponding with vendors, customers and internal office/field staff by phone or electronically in a prompt and courteous manner · Filing and document control · May include ad hoc reporting and assistance with month end reporting · Vacation coverage support as needed · Shared reception and administrative tasks as assigned. Position Requirements: The successful candidate will possess the following attributes and skillset: · Strong written and verbal communication skills required. A background in accounts receivable and collections is an asset. · Has an interest and demonstrated ability in working with numbers and data entry · Passionate at delivering exceptional customer service · Prioritizes building and managing successful relationships · Adapt at managing deadlines and multiple priorities · Enjoys learning quickly, adapting to change and solving problems · Shows initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision · Values integrity, honesty and discretion · A team player; willing to offer support and pitch in when required Job ID: 38672296
